IntroduCtIon

             Dear reader,

Imagine, you have a ´normal´ life, a young, talented child, embedded in a loving
home and surrounding. You bring something with you, a talent, something which brings
you deep joy; you do not really think about it, no special thoughts; as this 'Something',
which you have brought with you, always had been linked with you.

This ´Something´ triggers many things, within you, in your surrounding; often you
cannot really understand what it triggers in others, but you recognize the context, more
from your intuition, your feelings than from rational understanding. Among the human
beings in your surrounding is also your Grandfather; he seems to understand much more
about this 'Something' than the others, and so you feel drawn to him, again and again,
to what he does, how he speaks, how he acts, how people respond to him, how they talk
        about him.

And there is a deep connection with your mother, not graspable in words, just a
river of love and security, which needs no explanation, nourishes and keeps this ´Some-
        thing´ alive and unfolding.

School and the methodic forms of learning do not make much sense to you, with
poetry and music your ´Something´ flourishes, with other topics it falls asleep. Natural-
ly you begin to get interested in it more than all else, und you do not understand what
brings your father to push away that ´Something´, his intention does not make sense.
But your father is reasonable, he listens to your grandfather and keeps himself back; his
respect makes you grateful towards him, although you never really feel close to him.

Growing up, you begin to study the surroundings of your grandfather more pro-
foundly; the best musicians, philosophers, poets and thinkers are guests in his house, hu-
man beings from all cultures and religions, Hindus as much as Christians, Buddhists and
Zoroastrian, Jews and wild ones, who do not seem to really be part of it, they are called
´Madzubs´. And more and more you become conscious that this ´Something´ seems to
have a very specific function. You begin to learn, with all, without distinction, and this
´Something´ pushes you forward, softly, you yourself wish to go forward, and so you be-
gin to inquire into this ´Something´, at night.
